Leica and the Art of Seeing – Tom Greetham
Oskar Barnack, the inventor of the 35mm Leica camera, working at his desk at the Leitz Company
Join Tom Greetham, a lifelong Leica enthusiast and Leica brand manager for LCE, for a presentation on how he uses Leica cameras in his own photography to make impactful images. He’ll explore the evolution of Leica rangefinder cameras, some of his favourite images captured with Leica cameras and how the brand has inspired him through the years. The ‘Art of Seeing’ is about spotting a potential image, holding the Leica up to your eye and releasing the shutter. The joy of making an impactful image.
Throughout the last 100 years Leica photographers have captured images that transcend time. During the talk Tom will use his own photography as well as images from his favourite Leica photographers to tell the story of the icon that is Leica and how the Leica M & Q system make his perfect kit bag.

A Leica user for over a decade, Tom is a photographer based in Bath. A fan of black and white imagery, he has a particular interest in street, landscape and documentary photography. He hosts workshops and photography talks throughout the UK. You can find more of his work on his Website, Instagram or Facebook.
